This
Grade II listed building, together with Nos
84 and 86, were originally a single residence.
The date stone at the top of the gable says 1662 but
the building is considered by experts to be somewhat
older.

Thomas Pierson Prestwidge - Lapidary,
a craftsman in precious and semi-precious stones,
establishes his business here this year (See plaque,
right) Mr Prestwidge is still trading here in 1874

George Juler - Watch and Clock Maker
(K1896) George dies in 1901 having run the business
for 30 years (SN) and is buried in Southwold churchyard.
